Hyancinth gears up for Cape Metro volleyball championships

Hyacinth Primary School’s under-14 girls’ volleyball squad won the Metro South regional play-offs, on Friday September 1, at the Lavender Hills Shares Facility, beating Levana Primary School in two sets, 25-19 in each set. They will now take part in the Cape Metro schools volleyball championship, later this year.

Captain Fantasia Isaacs, 13, a Grade 7 pupil, became Hyacinth’s first provincial volleyballer as she was part of the Western Cape girls’ under-14 schools side that took part in the nation schools Winter Games in Johannesburg, recently.
