I read in the Plainsman about the abalone smuggling (“R2m worth of abalone found”, August 31). I just want to say, it’s so sad and sickening what people can do for money.
If I may suggest something and if there are people who know what I’m talking about, on DStv’s Channel 132 there is a program-me regarding border security in Australia.
Why can’t we have something like that at the airport?
They search and investigate everything so that any drugs and all illegal items do not enter the country.
I hope something like that can happen at our airport base.
