Unchain the Plain promoting sport in prison

Sports development NGO Unchain the Plain (UTP) has dedicated itself to distributing sports equipment to needy clubs, schools and organisations since its inception. Now the Mitchell’s Plain-based organisation has taken its work behind bars in a move that saw them join hands with Pollsmoor Prison authorities. UTP project manager Juven Rittles recently handed over a donation of netball, soccer, cricket, volleyball, basket and rugby balls to the facility’s officials involved with education, training and sport and recreation.
