Jo-Anne Muller, Mitchell’s Plain Community Advice And Development Project (MPCADP)
This time of the year, as celebrations occur and fireworks explode into the sky, it is important to recognise the special symbolism this holiday brings with it.
A time of new beginnings and fresh starts also comes with a time of reflection and promises that often tend to be shortlived.
Whether your resolutions consist of keeping your hands out of the cookie jar or giving your heartfelt word to work on relationships with loved ones – it can make all the difference to put these hopes into words and warm wishes. Seeing is believing.
So, let’s show our appreciation for all; especially the vulnerable and the innocent of our community; we need to consider those who work during the holidays to keep us healthy and safe.
We also need to consider what we can do to improve ourselves, our families, our communities, our province, our country and our world.
Making it a better safer and happier place for all.
The Mitchell’s Plain Community Advice and Development Project therefore wishes one and all an amazing, safe and happy festive season.
The office will be closed from Thursday December 20 and reopens Monday January 14 next year.
