Community development workers with the Safeline Child Abuse Treatment and Prevention Centre took their pre-holiday awareness programme to the streets of Beacon Valley and Eastridge on Monday April 19 and Tuesday April 20.
The team taught children about safety and body awareness. “It’s important to teach children what to do if someone inappropriately interacts with children. We taught them how to tell an adult when they are experiencing this and if they are in danger,” said Patrica Williams from Safeline.
They also provided the children with Safeline’s toll free number and snacks provided by stakeholders.
