New borehole

■ Ridgeville Primary School Grade 7 pupil Daniel Arendse leaps over a 2m deep dam of water, created in the sinking of a borehole at the school on Wednesday April 18. The Westridge school will use the borehole water to go off the City of Cape Town’s water grid, green their sportsfield and start a vegetable garden.
