First Portland Girl Guides participated in the annual celebration of World Thinking Day, in honour of the birthdays of the movement’s founders Lord Robert Baden-Powell and his wife Lady Olive, on February 22.
More than 200 girls and women – among them teddies aged between four and seven; brownies, aged between seven and 10; girl guides, aged between ten and 14; rangers, young adults; and adult leaders from across the Cape West Region – gathered at Wynberg Girls’ Schools on Sunday February 25.
