Colorado Armed Response Services (CARS) has secured the services of a 24-hour armed response and patrol service, which will be launched at a meeting at Colorado Park community hall tomorrow, Thursday November 1 at 7.30pm. Colorado Park resident, bordered by the R300, Eisleben Road, Weltevreden Parkway and Highlands Drive, can benefit from these costs at a cover the costs of this service and have a local company tender. Health checks:
Simunye Clinic and PinkDrive will be doing prostate cancer and testicular screening at Simunye Healthcare, at Eastridge Medical Centre, corner of First and Fourth Avenues (at the Engen Garage) on Wednesday November 7 from 9.30am until 2pm. * Parents and child carers, aged between 18 and 88, can attend a free four-day parental training opportunity, from Monday November 5, TuesdayNovember 6, Monday November 12 and Tuesday November 13, from 10am until 3pm, at Eastridge clinic. Participants will receive accreditation certificates on completion. The course is funded by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the Department of Social Development and National Early Childhood Alliance (NECDA) and endorsed by Grassroots. Course work includes powering adults on how to deal with a child’s birth, nutrition, behavioural problems, family, schooling, death and constitutional rights.
