■ Children from Mitchell’s Plain and surrounds were treated to an early Christmas party by the St Kizito’s group at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, in Lentegeur, on Saturday December 9. The team of volunteers work with the children throughout the year to bring relief and joy by hosting parties, taking the children on excursions and assisting them with their daily needs. The parishioners of St Mary Magdalene donated Santa boxes filled with clothing, stationery, toiletries and toys for the event.
