The Metro police gang and drug task team, who were following up on a tip-off, arrested two people in separate incidents for possession of drugs in Beacon Valley yesterday.
They also recovered 40 bankies of dagga and R5 000 in cash in Rugby Street.
They nabbed a 36-year-old suspect who is believed to be a gang member.
An hour later, officers followed up on information and arrested a 49-year-old man for possession of eight packets of tik, at a house in Jukskei Crescent in the same area.
Metro police spokesperson Zelda Martin said: “The Metro police department thanks the public for their help in making these arrests possible.”
Both suspects were detained at the Mitchell’s Plain police station and will appear in court soon.
