Two men, one in Woodlands and another in Lentegeur, were arrested on gun charges within hours of each other on Thursday last week, say police.
Officers acting on a tip-off arrested a 38-year-old man at a house in Selene Way, Woodlands, at 5pm, after finding a gun, ten bullets and a plastic bag of 27 half-mandrax tablets hidden in a TV set, said Lentegeur police spokesperson Constable Navon van Houten.
At 8.45pm, police were doing a stop and search in Honeysuckle Street, Lentegeur, when they saw a man throw a gun onto the roof of a nearby shack. They arrested the 26-year-old man and recovered the gun and seven bullets.
