The Mustadafin Foundation donated 24 packs of school uniforms to the pupils of Mitchell’s Heights Primary School last week.
“This is a great benefit for the children who have been adopted by the foundation. The relationship started off last year, (and)
this could not have been possible without the teachers’ enthusiasm
to help,” said principal Gadija Thebus.
Megan Pretorius, 12, from Tafelsig was surprised when she received her uniform. “I didn’t know I was going to get this. The first thing I am going to do when I get home is tell my aunty,” she said.
Keagan Jordan and Mickeal Horn, both 12 and from Tafelsig expressed their happiness, as did Grade 4 teacher, Aanisha De Wet. “I am very glad about this. This gesture will make them feel confident,” said Ms De Wet.
