On Friday last week, about one hundred journalists and members of civic organisations gathered outside the Sea Point SABC offices to protest the recent suspension of SABC journalists for covering protests. The protest was held in solidarity with the suspended journalists and also out of concern about censorship at the public broadcaster. The protest also followed the resignation of acting CEO Jimi Matthews.
