A 27-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of drugs with a street value of R7 000 in Squirrel Street, Eastridge, on Tuesday June 20, at 4.20pm.
Mitchell’s Plain Crime prevention unit members caught him with 32g of tik and 50 mandrax tablets.
A 32-year-old woman was arrested for selling liquor without a licence in Bontebok Crescent, Eastridge, on Wednesday June 21, at 1.40pm.
The Mitchell’s Plain Designated Police Officers for firearms, liquor and second-hand goods (DPO) found two chest freezers full of beer. According to police, the liquor amounted to more than 335 litres of alcohol.

The Mitchell’s Plain Crime prevention unit members had seen the man coming out of a suspected drug den and stopped to search him.
