Two men were arrested for possession of possible stolen goods in Mitchell’s Plain on Wednesday April 8.
The suspects were spotted by residents making several trips between Rocklands and Siqalo informal settlement where they sold some of the fencing during the course of last week.
The residents alerted auxiliary law enforcement officers, who stopped the duo on another trip, on the corners of Jakes Gerwel and Morgenster roads.
When asked where they found the fairly new fencing, they claimed from a resident in the area.
The officers followed up and found that the men had lied.
The suspects aged 28 and 38 were arrested and taken to the Lentegeur police station.
