A house was destroyed by fire at Lavender Street in Lentegeur yesterday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department responded at 7:07 am. Two fire engines, water tanker and a rescue vehicle with 14 firefighters were dispatched.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire will be investigated but it is suspected that a child, who was playing with a lighter, igniting the bedding which spread to other combustible materials.
