Community Safety MEC Dan Plato awarded the Lentegeur East Neighbourhood Watch Sector 2 with a Golden Award for their sector, services, diligent work ethic and commitment in the community of Lentegeur. Ward 76 councillor Goawa Timm reminded the community that their mandate was to help keep the community safe by assisting those in service. “I commend all the Walking Bus members that are involved as well as those that do it as a volunteer. Your services will not be in vain. We work as hard as we can to keep our children safe and get them home safely.” The Walking Bus initiative, launched in 2016, sees volunteers from the community accompanying pupils to and from school.
