The story “Residents object to plans for development in Capri Way” (Plainsman, February 26) refers.
This comment is for erf 47585 Mitchell’s Plain in Capri Way, Strandfontein. The query was also for erf 1212, however we can’t find anything on our system relating to this erf.
The current application is for a rezoning to subdivisional area overlay zone and subdivision into 262 single residential erven, two open space erfs and a public road.
Other applications include inter alia street and common building line departures and approval of a site development plan.
The proposed erf sizes range between 78m2 and 98m2 and the proposed dwelling units are largely single storey, semi-detached units.
A few double storey semi-detached units are also proposed.
We can confirm that it is a state property, held in custody by the Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape.
The development company is Asande Construction and Civils and the application has been made by Pro-Konsort Town Planners.
The closing date for public comment was on Monday March 2.
