Cops attend Women’s Day event

The Mitchell’s Plain SAPS Cluster held their annual Women’s Day event at The Venue Company in Lansdowne last Thursday, August 8. Members from the Athlone, Grassy Park, Lansdowne, Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain, Philippi, Steenberg and Strandfontein police stations attended the event. Those who attended had to come dressed in anything starting with the letter P and chose outfits such as princesses, pirates, prisoners, priests, painters, and even in the punk style. The speaker was entrepreneur Candice Manuel from Embrace your Curves, who encouraged and challenged the women to embrace themselves and accept who they are.
