Residents of Ward 79 enjoyed their first annual carols by candlelight at Eastridge community hall on Friday December 16, which was the Day of Reconciliation. The ward includes Beacon Valley, Mitchell’s Plain CBD and Portland. Ward 70 councillor Solomon Philander said the community should unite to overcome daily challenges.
