RLabs held their First Thursdays event at the RLabs House in Westridge with a solo art exhibition by Dion Cupido entitled, Confluence: The Art of Coming Together on April 4.
Cupido’s art and creations weave stories of unity and connection through vibrant colours and intricate details.
The entertainment was provided by singer Juju Domingo and guitarist Natanaél Afrika as well as Mitchell’s Plain Music Academy members who were joined by singer and Plainsman reporter, Marsha Bothma, who performed at the Mocha Lounge adjacent to the RLabs building.
Community members and entrepreneurs made use of the space and engaged with one another.
Attendee, De-Jai Clarke Naidoo, said: “The first Thursday Event at Rlabs is very innovative, inspiring and full of involvement from youth to elders. Everyone is welcomed with love and humility to this great home of knowledge.”
