The free jazz festival will take place at the Greenmarket Square on Wednesday March 27 ahead of the main event, the annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
The event which is in its 20th edition draws thousands of music lovers from all walks of life.
The free community concert starts at 4pm.
Shekhinah (SA), Don Vino (SA), Ben Volpeliere of Curiosity Killed the Cat, Ndaka Yo Wini (Angola), Craig Lucas (SA), espYounglegend Edgar Muzah & Friends (SA), DJ Eazy (SA), All Star Band (SA) and Juicy (SA) will be performing.
Mayor Dan Plato said: “The free concert is an opportunity for those who could not get a ticket for the festival to enjoy access to some of the best local and international artists on one stage. I would also like to welcome the thousands of festival-goers and performers who are making their way to our beautiful city this week.”
Mr Plato said the City is proud to be associated with the event.
“The City is proud to host the Cape Town International Jazz Festival which has become an important part of the Cape Town brand for the last two decades.”
There will be temporary road closures in the city centre and surrounds to accommodate the free concert, starting at 4:30pm.
