As part of his office’s outreach programme, the City’s executive mayor Dan Plato handed over much-needed stationery to pupils at Springdale Primary School in Lentegeur on Monday February 3. A number of schools have been identified to receive 200 packs of the stationery. “This is an important initiative as I’ve often said that education is the best way for young people to access their potential. Having the right tools is essential to learning, especially as pupils in the foundation phase who are starting their school life where many vital skills are learned,” said Mr Plato. He also called on the private sector to join the initiative so more pupils may be able to benefit from this.
