Thirty-three students who completed the Communiversity’s 2019 programme graduated on Friday December 6 at a joy-filled celebration held at their Vrygrond premises. The curriculum includes First Aid training, Ready2work, English, maths, entrepreneurship, as well as culinary and hospitality studies. The Communiversity of South Africa will be running its college and job preparation course in Strandfontein, and registration is open until 4.30pm today, Wednesday January 15. The four-month long programme will run at the YMCA Camp Site in Camp Road, Strandfontein. The Communiversity caters to unemployed youth, aged 18 to 35, with Grade 9 and higher, with a focus on preparing them for college and work life. They will need their ID, last report and proof of address to apply and everyone who joins the programme is awarded a R12 000 full bursary and 85 to 90% of graduates go on to college since TVET Colleges offer priority entry to Communiversity students with full scholarships.
