Lest we forget… Family and friends in the sports fraternity bid a sad farewell to a number of sports figures who have passed away in recent weeks. Pictured are, from left, Mogamat Gielmie Cassiem, the popular ice cream vendor from Westridge, whose quirky lines could often be heard at Newlands cricket ground for many years, golfing legend Wallace “Wally” Johannissen, from Rocklands and Westridge Yankees Softball and Baseball Club’s development coach and former national team player Jason “Jayo” Jonathan.
