The JP21 Foundation and Strandfontein Cricket Club partnered with a local hygiene company, which covered the costs of new cricket nets and T-shirts for the club’s players.
Cricket commentator and former international cricketer JP Duminy, who hails from Strandfontein and who is the founder of the JP21 Foundation, said: “As a young kid, the dream was always to play the game of cricket with the utmost joy and happiness in my heart… Then there are the circumstances and infrastructure around you that allow you to truly be granted opportunities to live out those dreams.
“It’s safe to say that facilities in my hometown of Strandfontein are dire, however, it certainly doesn’t mean that we are down and out… we still have plenty to do but we are grateful to Salil Dhingra and the EF-Active family for helping us along the journey.
“Behind us are newly-laid nets that will hopefully help the current and next generation to live out those dreams. On behalf of JP21 Foundation and Strandfontein Cricket Club we thank you for partnering with us in building a better tomorrow for our community.”
