The annual Darkfest free ride mountain bike event took place at the Hellsend Dirt Compound, at Vuurberg farm in Stellenbosch, at the weekend. The best riders from around the world and South Africa executed a series massive jumps and high-risk tricks that left spectators in awe.
One of the top riders at this year’s Darkfest freeride mountain bike event, Theo Erlangsen from Cape Town and the only South African in the international field, competed with the world’s best at the Hellsend Dirt Compound, at Vuurberg farm in Stellenbosch which has the largest dirt-to-dirt mountain bike jumps in the world, measuring up to an incredible 110 feet.
