Course aims to empower coaches and goalkeepers

A number of seasoned and upcoming coaches and goalkeepers attended a two-day, 10-hour free course at former professional goalkeeper Farouk Abrahams’ Goalkeeper Academy in Wynberg, at the weekend. Hotspurs Ladies FC’s Thaaniah Solomons, from Lentegeur, was among a number of coaches from clubs across the city who attended Farouk Abrahams’ goalkeeper course, in Wynberg, at the weekend. Solomons, who obtained her CAF D diploma in 2018 and CAF C diploma last week, said besides learning new drills, the course also taught her how to implement strategies to help goalkeepers perform better.
