Some of the runners that took part in the 100km run, named 10 Squared Ultra Marathon, to help raise funds for amabele Project Flamingo.

On Sunday, 25 invited runners representing clubs across the city, embarked on an ambitious 100km run to raise funds for amaBele Project Flamingo, which works with cancer patients at Groote Schuur, Tygerberg and Port Elizabeth’s Livingstone hospitals.

The run started at Groote Schuur Hospital where Project Flamingo is based, headed down to Lakeside and back towards town and finishing on Rondebosch Common.

It saw some runners doing 25km or 50km relays, others the whole race from start to finish.
