Joselyn Petersen, Mitchell’s Plain parkrun volunteer
During a Mitchell’s Plain parkrun, a runner forgot his keys in the car ignition.
He ran the 5km loop at Westridge Gardens and could not locate his keys afterwards.
He then retraced his steps through the gardens but returned to his car empty handed, only to find car guard Chadwiek Ludolph watching his car, where the keys were left in the ignition.
The car guard could have done anything to his car but he showed the community that good people exist.
What a remarkable man.
The parkrun is a free community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. It is 5km and takes place every Saturday morning.
