Over the weekend, young people in Mitchell’s Plain joined a march against sexual violence and abuse of women and children. Organiser Bradwyn Adams, 18, from Zeekoevlei, said they wanted to stand up against abuse for the future of the country and its children. “It is happening in our very own streets, it’s about time we stand up for what is right and for what we know is right,” said Natalie Smit, 19, from Portland who supported the protest.
