■ Melomed Hospital in Eastridge celebrated Youth Day at Aloe High School in Lentegeur on Thursday June 15 . Hospital manager Evan Swart and the nursing services Manager Luleka Bovungana, gave a motivational talk on the historical background of Youth Day, the challenges youth are facing today and what can be done together as a nation to stop violence against children and women. The staff also raised funds for stationery and donated it to pupils. The executives of Melomed also sponsored a R2000 towards their arts and crafts classroom. This was a corporate cocial initiative and was organised by client servicesofficer Tammy Cleophas. She said: “Our aim was to give back to our community, raise awareness and inspire our youth of today to start making a change.”
