The Activate Potential and Purpose Youth Conference, held at Strandfontein High School, was buzzing with activity on Friday June 14 and Saturday June 15. This, the first event hosted by Nigel Savel, 9Miles Project founder who collaborated with Ward 43 councillor and Sub-council 23 chairperson, Elton Jansen, was attended by more than 200 youth people. “Our goal is to build stable youth structures in the community where they can access information and be empowered and inspired so that they can activate their potential,” said Mr Savel.
Cleo Smith, 18, Brandon Mentoor, 31, Jody Louw, 17, and Chad-Lee Kampher, 18, all from Strandfontein, who attended the youth conference.
