Woodlands Scouts plant trees

The revived 1st Woodlands Scouts group.

The revived 1st Woodlands Scouts group, which forms part of Scouts South Africa, planted spekboom trees, in partnership with the City’s Recreation and Parks Department, in Ajax Park, Woodlands, on Friday September 25. The District Commissioner of the Mitchell’s
Plain District Scouts SA, Annsley Spies,
planted the trees in Ajax Park with Ward
75 councillor Joan Woodman, pack scouter
Gladys Mentoor, representative of the
Old Woodlands Ratepayers’ Association
Wadeeah Fisher and scouts. The 1st
Woodlands group had disbanded after its
leaders moved out of Mitchell’s Plain but
was recently re-established.
