The rain kept some of the traders away but that did not stop the rest from offering their delicious food, beautiful clothing and even comic books. 1 of 4 Founder of the Mitchells Plain Urban Market, Mario Oostendurp from Strandfontein, promised: There will be more entertainment and variety of traders next time. It will only get better from here on out. Ziyaad Rahman, 26, from Parow, grew up in Tafelsig, with a love for comics. He decided to start his own comic book series in 2016 and produces them with some of his colleagues. Rashied Abass from Westridge started his own business with Eastern clothing and bags for women. His customers call him the Bag Dad.
