#Unbreakable

■ Pictured in front, middle, is Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, from Sedgefield, who promoted her campaign titled #Unbreakable at Rocklands High School hall on Saturday January 27, aimed at empowering women against abuse. It was presented in the form of a self-defence workshop, supported by the Mitchell’s Plain Community Police Forum (CPF) and the police station. Mayor Patricia de Lille was also a guest speaker and highlighted that women have a great role to play in influencing the attitudes of society, specifically in how mothers raise their sons and daughters differently with regards to privileges. Demi-Leigh was crowned Miss South Africa last year and was also crowned Miss Universe in the same year.
