Treats for the needy

The feeding scheme run by the Igdienashierathal Mustakiem Islamic Training and Development Centre in Rocklands gave end-of-year treats to some 150 seniors and 200 children on Wednesday December 14. Everyone was given a meal and the seniors were served tea and cake while the children received party packs. The three-year-old feeding scheme operates from Monday to Thursday. Helping out on the day, from left, are Steven Noble, Izaaz Husain Patience, Farouk Davids, Fareeqa Jappie, Ruwayda Steer, Mogamat Jappie, Sheikh Abdullah Shafiek Arries, Nashief Stuurman and Jameel Stuurman. Rocklands centre will reopen on Monday January 23.
Some of the adults and children who received food and end-of-year treats from the Igdienashierathal Mustakiem Islamic Training and Development Centre’s feeding scheme.
