Isaac and Sarah Hermanus, Woodlands
On behalf of the Hermanus family, we wish to express our gratitude and sincere thanks to all who were involved in assisting us with containing and extinguishing the fire at our property in Selene Way, Woodlands on Wednesday April 27.
Thank you to the community of Woodlands, the City of Cape Town’s Disaster Risk Management, the fire brigade and the Metro ambulance staff who attended to me.
Thanks to my daughter, Eulanda, and her husband, Shane, for their generous financial support, Sylnor and our grandchildren for doing the laundry. Special thanks to West Reach Assemblies of God for their input in supplying material and labour, brother Willie.
The following people also need to be commended – Mr Baker and his Grade 8C class of Cedar High School for their generosity and moral support. Amber appreciates it tremendously.
The teachers who helped her with a school blazer. To the principal Mr Cupido and team of Mitchell’s Plain School of Skills for their interest and contribution in the form of paint and doors.
The following for their support: the Thorne family from Port Elizabeth, Washiela Salie and family in Woodlands; Achmat Safodien and family in Portland, Attie and Sandra Thomas and Chantal and team for cleaning the walls and Mr Isaacs for the tools. Thank you to Eunice Dryden for financial support and our friends at the church – they know who they are. Thank you to everyone who sent an SMS, Whatsapp or made a phone call.
Last but not least, thanks to our friends at Independent Media. God bless.
