The Strandfontein Post Office has been closed since December 22.
SA Post Office spokesperson Emma Tshatsinde said the branch was closed due to the delay in rental payments to the landlord.
All mail and parcels are being taken to the Strandfontein depot.
“The branch in question is still closed because the Post Office has been unable to pay the rent. At this point we cannot confirm a date as to when we expect the branch to open,” said Ms Tshatsinde.
She said in the meantime, customers can use the nearby Caravelle and Mitchell’s Plain branches.
