Two Woodlands pensioners have been cooking up a storm to feed the poor and destitute almost every week, when donations and budgets allow. Last Thursday November 21 Freda Roseline May, 66, also known as Rosie and Francina Willoughby, 72, from Mrs Mays Soup Kitchen dished up for more than 100 children, pensioners and parents. This was their last lunch for the year 2019 but they hope to distribute 500 party packs on Reconciliation Day, Monday December 16. “This all depends on donations and what I can sell to generate an income. We will make the donations stretch,” said Ms May . “I would like to thank businesses and every one for donating money or produce to help me with my vision to provide for the needy, the elderly and children in the community, especially Woodlands and Lentegeur. Thank you and may you enjoy a pleasant, peaceful festive season,” she said.
