Social club serves community

Eagle Wings Social Club from Eastridge hosted an outreach programme on Youth Day, Friday June 16. Chairperson Evelyn Phillips said they had hosted these programmes since before the Covid-19 pandemic hit. “When it hit we could not operate as normal. Now that we have an opportunity again we want to continue helping those in need.” They are five years into serving the community. They handed out food bowls and party packets to over 100 adults and children. “All those that have donated, helped and sponsored us, we appreciate it no matter how small,” she said.
