Hillside Primary School is bursting at the seams as it has reached its limit of 840 mainstream pupils and 100 pre-primary pupils. The Rocklands school, therefore, required three school governing body teacher posts to be filled and two prefabricated classrooms from the Western Cape Education Department (WCED). Principal Bernard Meyer said, however, they are ready to face the school year head on. He said they have 21 classrooms, and that specialised classrooms had to changed, to accommodate the doubling of their numbers in the past five years.
