Reward for information on Woodland’s woman’s attack

Anthea Julius, 57, from Woodlands, was attacked and died a week later.

The family of a Woodlands woman, who died a week after she was attacked, would like the perpetrator brought to book, so that they can have closure.

A reward of R10 000 for information leading to the conviction of the attacker will be paid to witnesses.

Anthea Julius, 57, was hit on the back of her head and her face bludgeoned on Friday August 31 last year.

She died a week later in Mitchell’s Plain District Hospital after suffering a heart attack and bleeding on the brain.

According to the autopsy report Ms Julius died of a septic (an infected) wound, which did not heal, despite medical intervention.

Ms Julius had been a Metro paramedic for more than 10 years, before resigning in 2014.

Lentegeur police station confirmed that a case of culpable homicide is being investigated.

Captain Ian Williams, spokesman for the police station, said all information would be confidential.
