Reading competition

■ Rocklands library held its annual reading competition on Thursday May 11. A total of 38 Grade 7 pupils from Caravelle, Caradale, Wavecrest, Rocklands, Spine View, Sea View and Eisleben primary schools took part in the competition. The aim of the competition was to promote reading and literacy in schools. Reading competition representative Nadia Abrahams welcomed the pupils and opened the event with a prayer. Velna Konstabel from Delft library then gave them some encouragement and explained the details of the competition. Pictured are the pupils who took part in the competition.
