Police investigate teen’s disappearance

The Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit in Mitchell’s Plain is investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of a 13-year-old New Woodlands girl who was found a day after she went missing.

A missing person’s report was filed at Lentegeur police station on Friday February 5 and the girl was found on Saturday afternoon February 6.

Constable Felicia Adams, station spokesperson, said the case had been handed over to the unit because of the girl’s age.
