Mitchell’s Plain police found a naked man who had apparently been assaulted walking in the road. According to police, the victim was walking in the road in St Helena Street in Portland, when a group of men allegedly chased him. He them ran into one of the houses but the suspects chased after him, pulled him out of the house and hit him. They then dragged him into a vehicle in the road, allegedly a Toyota Camry with rehistration CA739 186.
Captain Williams said the suspects wanted to put him in the boot, but he refused.
“They then took a wheel brace and started to hit him with it all over his body. They managed to force him into the car. They drove to a house in Boston Street where they took him inside and undressed him and continued to assault him with a pick axe handle and the wheel brace.
“The suspects also shocked the victim with electricity. The victim was later chased out of the house naked and he walked in the street where he was found by police,” he said.
Captain Williams said the motive for the attack is revenge, as it is alleged that the victim had robbed one of the suspects prior to the incident.
