Officers remember slain peers

Mitchell’s Plain police members and neighbourhood watch association parade through the streets of Eastridge.

Mitchell’s Plain police and the neighbourhood watch association celebrated National Police Day on Friday January 27.

They took part in a parade, had a full inspection and lit candles in honour of their peers who died last year.

Neighbourhood watch and police officers take part in National Police Day.

Station spokesperson Sergeant Zandi Langa thanked neighbourhood watch members, their partners in fighting crime “who work tirelessly to protect and serve our community at large”.
