Officers foil copper theft

Law enforcement officers received a tip-off that there were suspects digging trenches near Lentegeur train station trying to steal copper wire yesterday.

The officers went to investigate. The suspects saw the officers approaching and fled.

One 16 metre copper wire and one 10 metre steel plain wire were found on the scene.

No arrests were made.
