Marching against Trump

Hundreds of women marched from the Company’s Garden to Parliament on Saturday January 21 in solidarity with the women in Washington DC and across the world who protested on the same day against the new administration of US President Donald Trump.

Rachel Spadafore, Karen Littau, Ravneet Gill, Claire Burfeind and Madison Perriolat, who are from the USA, joined the march.

Raabiyah Parker, a representative of UCT, gave the women at the march some words of encouragement.

Sam and Tracy Cook with Nilah, 5, also took part in the march.
