A 33-year-old man was shot dead in Stacey Crescent, Tafelsig, on Sunday March 31, at 10.50pm.
Police said he was allegedly shot in the stomach by three men who covered their faces and started shooting in the street. The motive is possibly gang-related.
A case of murder is being investigated and there have been no arrests.
Police recovered 33 cartridge cases and one projectile on the scene.

Meanwhile, Mitchell’s Plain police arrested a 30-year-old man after he was caught with 1 016 heroin straws and 20 packets of heroin on Thursday April 4, at 9.30pm.
Police spotted the man running when he saw the police vehicle in Pasteurhof, Woodlands.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested after police found 22 full mandrax tablets and six half mandrax tables in his possession when they searched him in Rigoletto Street, Eastridge, on Thursday April 4, at 4pm.
A 23-year-old man was arrested after he was searched by police in Simonsberg Street, Tafelsig, on Wednesday April 3, at 5pm, and found to be in possession of a .38 special revolver with ammunition.
Police found 474 units of heroin in an ice-cream bowl at a house in Seafire Street, Rocklands, on Wednesday April 3, at 3am, when they searched the premises for drugs. A 20-year-old man was arrested.
Captain Ian Williams said if anyone knows of people who suffer from a drug addiction they can contact the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA).
“Drugs and alcohol addiction fuels crime such as domestic violence, assault, theft and robbery as addicts are desperate for money to support their habit. Help is available,” he said.

Mitchell’s Plain police confiscated hundreds of litres of alcohol and arrested three people for selling liquor without a licence in separate cases in Beacon Valley, Eastridge and Tafelsig last week.
In Cricket Street, Beacon Valley, police seized 232 litres of liquor on Friday April 5, at 7pm, and arrested a 59-year-old man.
In Koedoe Street, Eastridge, police found 134 litres of liquor on Saturday April 6, at 3.22pm, and arrested a 54-year-old man.
In Cairn Street, Tafelsig, police seized 90 litres of liquor on Saturday April 6, at 3.45pm, and arrested a 54-year-old man.
A 46-year-old woman was arrested after police found one gram of tik and 19 small packets of tik when they searched a premises at Cathedral Street, Tafelsig, on Friday April 5 at 5.45pm.
A 25-year-old man was arrested after he was caught with 30 mandrax tablets in in Twickenham Street, Beacon Valley, on Saturday April 6, at 4pm.
A 34-year-old man was arrested for being in possession of a 9mm firearm with a magazine and four live 9mm rounds in Stag Street, Eastridge on Saturday April 6, at 11pm.
He also faces a charge of tampering with the serial number on a firearm.
Mitchell’s Plain station commander Brigadier Cass Goolam said police would continue to clamp down on crime in the area. He commended police officers for their hard work and dedication.
“We urge the community to form part of the community safety structures.”
